1770s BRITISH MILITARY COAT: This garment is most
commonly associated with the Revolutionary War. The pleats are very
shallow; the tails are much shorter. It
has a collar. The coat front edges meet down the first 4 buttons,
leaving the belly exposed to show off the waistcoat. The cuffs are
smaller and sleeves are tighter. The coat body is wool with a cotton or
